Most people hesitate to say that they have a favorite band, and for good reason. Most people listen to a great number of bands from different genres and often associate each one with a different sentimental value. Perhaps one band reminds you of roadtripping while another is perfect for your running mix. It's easy to distill your music library to those few artists that you just couldn't live without, but cementing your favor to just one of them is emotionally distressing! Just like everyone else, I hesitate to say that I have favorite band of all time. But if I HAD to choose as a matter of life and death, I wouldn't think twice to say that band was Mother Mother. This Canadian band never fails to entertain me whenever I listen to their music. It's fun, thoughtful, provocative, and emotionally involving...and it's fucking addicting. Of course, you're entitled to your own opinion, but you would be wrong : P I didn't want to flood this post by embedding all three of their albums into the text. So here is a sample from their first album, Touch Up. It just happened to be what I was listening to as I was writing. Please check out their soundcloud page - I promise you won't be disappointed. |
